The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has confirmed it recently sought BDT55m (US$651,32) from the World Trade Organisation to enable it to invest in research and development, innovation, product diversification and value addition, with the aim of making the readymade garments (RMG) sector more sustainable.
